Viro Lighting

Viro decorative pendants combining dark metal and clear sculpted glass

A lighting system designed from the inside out.

I designed and developed Viro’s modular pendant line, pairing hand-blown glass with a patented suspension system and a replaceable LED module. The work extended from product engineering and sourcing to the app, brand, and launch.

From a vehicle to a service.

As Chief Product Officer, I developed the RS1 electric scooter and the systems around it: a replaceable battery, NFC activation, 4G connectivity, and fleet-management software. I also helped launch the service and managed fleet operations in Australia.

Working with a design team in the UK and Australia, I helped develop a new frame and vented canopy for ShedRain’s golf umbrella. My contribution covered material research, component development, precision prototypes, and testing at Monash University’s wind tunnel.

NeuroVIZR

Making an idea tangible.

I developed early prototypes of the light-and-sound wearable, focusing on ergonomic forms, electronics housings, and a face band that could be built and tested quickly.

Over sixteen years, I’ve taken products through design, engineering, prototyping, sourcing, and production across the US, UK, Australia, and China.

Much of my career has been spent on the ground with factories in Asia. I speak English and Mandarin, and work directly with suppliers and engineering teams to turn a design into something that can be made reliably and at the right cost.

My work also reaches into product strategy, packaging, brand development, and commercial growth. From decorative lighting and shared scooters to umbrellas and wellness devices, I bring a practical understanding of the entire product lifecycle.
